The Sound Of Music Chester Theatre reviews
I loved the Sound of Music!
I have always loved Sound of Music and love Theater of the Stars Productions at the Fox, so I knew I would thoroughly enjoy this production. They did switch things around a little from the movie and had a "new" song I had never heard before. I thought that just made it more interesting. The children had amazing singing voices. The set was beautiful. The actors did play some scenes different from the movie; it had more humor in it. Some serious, romantic scenes in the movie were less so in the play. Again, just made it more interesting in that you weren't watching an exact duplication of the movie. I only missed seeing the scenes where the children played tricks on Maria. But overall, it worked well for a live production. I highly recommend it!
